RootReader2D

RootReader2D software was designed to automatically measure root lengths from digital root images.  Using Java(TM) Web Start technology, RootReader2D measures, records, and displays root system lengths while also storing processing information in xml-formatted RR2Dat data files. Shown below is a screenshot of the RootReader2D software with sample output from measured rice root systems.

RootReader3D

RootReader3D software was designed to reconstruct and quantify 3D root system architecture descriptors from 2D rotational image sequences.  The software is currently in the final stages of development.
