Research Interests:
Dr. Magalhaes is one of our most valuable collaborators, currently employed by EMBRAPA Maize and Sorghum, in Sete Lagoas, Brazil. Jurandir works cloesly with Dr. Kochian's lab on a number of projects, most importantly the classification and function of the sbMATE gene family known to contribute to Al3+ tolerance in Sorghum.
